So we've been back from our Byron Bay to Brisbane tour for a couple of weeks now and have finally got a short video tour diary ready. Mostly the footage is of the tour but we also managed to get some recording in, focusing on the bass parts to go with the drums that we recorded on our last tour.

Hello Chaps, just a short video diary of our latest recording session in Byron Bay. Our focus was primarily on drums for our debut album which we hope to have finished before the end of the year. The bulk of this video captures the second half of the track Solo Tango which you may have seen at a live show recently.

Summer Solstice Journey VIII - St. Andrews

One-quarter of A Planet In Space (Alex Hayes) has been working on a piece to accompany artwork by celebrated ecological artist Lloyd Godman.

"It is doubtful if Australasia has a more protean, visionary and ecologically committed artist than Lloyd Godman." Black and White magazine USA issue 57 2008

Although the music is very different to what regular listeners of A Planet In Space may be familiar with, the spirit of A Planet In Space has always been about diversity of music to which this piece adds a long awaited branch.

This work is dedicated to all living creatures, plants, animals, birds, insects, and people who were displaced or lost their lives during the fires of Black Saturday, February 7th 2009.

Thanks goes to Lloyd Godman for giving the opportunity to collaborate on this project.

This preview release only features the first half of the song, with the remaining second half to be released on our upcoming debut album, due out late 2008.
